The New England Patriots will wear their standard home look in Week 9: silver helmets, navy jerseys and navy pants for Sunday's game against the Green Bay Packers at Gillette Stadium, according to ESPN's weekly uniform rundown. Green Bay will wear the road combination of gold helmets, white jerseys and gold pants, so the game will match navy against white with no alternate uniforms involved.

The throwbacks this week are elsewhere in the league. ESPN reports that the Philadelphia Eagles will wear their "Kelly Green" uniforms against a New York Giants team in its "Vintage White" look. The Los Angeles Chargers will wear their all-navy "Super Chargers" set, introduced in 2025, against the Houston Texans. The Baltimore Ravens open the week in their "Purple Rising" alternates on Thursday night against Jacksonville.

For New England, the uniform news matters less than the opponent. According to the Packers' game center, both teams are 5-3, and kickoff is set for the late-afternoon window on Fox. NBC Sports' preview presents the game as a quarterback matchup between Drake Maye and Jordan Love, who have each thrown multiple touchdowns in several consecutive games.

What it means for Sunday against Green Bay

The Patriots have won four of their last five games, most recently a 24-19 win at Miami. Their only loss in that stretch was 30-24 at Chicago. They are 3-0 at home, with wins over Pittsburgh (20-3), Las Vegas (45-17) and the Jets (26-19), and they are 2-3 on the road. They have scored 184 points and allowed 162, a margin of plus-22 that is held down by the 35-6 loss at Jacksonville in Week 3. Outside of that game, the defense has not allowed more than 30 points.

The board for Packers at Patriots has New England favored at home. Novig, one of 12 venues listed, prices the Patriots at -163 on the moneyline and Green Bay at +156. The spread is where the venues differ most. Novig has New England -3.5 at +111, while the best price anywhere for the Patriots is FanDuel's -3 at -110. That half point matters because three is the most common margin in the NFL. Sportsbook hold on the spread ranges from 3.0% to 5.1%.

The total is close to the same number everywhere. Novig lists 44.5 with the over at -108 and the under at +102. The best over is theScore Bet's -105 at 44.5, and the best under is BetRivers' -106 at 45. A total in the mid-40s suggests the market expects a more controlled game than New England's 45-point win over the Raiders.

The schedule does not get easier after this. New England plays at Detroit on Nov. 15, and the early board for that game has the Lions favored at -127 at Novig, with the Patriots at even money. The best price on Detroit is DraftKings' -102. A win over Green Bay would give the Patriots a winning record over a two-week stretch against NFC contenders. A loss would drop them to .500 heading into Ford Field.
